To the Sierra Sentinel: Cannabis ban is everyone's loss

  Sierra Sentinel:

Now that Measure D has been defeated and there will be three Supervisors (Mills, Oliveira and Clapp) in 2017 to vote against renewing the Urgency Ordinance regarding cannabis, we will do what Calaveras County is famous for; going backwards!

The state has passed it for recreational use, so no one need any medical cards anymore and the county SHERIFF cannot arrest you for having it.  It sounds like HE will have plenty!!!

But he is apparently so ignorant that he wants other counties to benefit from the crops. Also, the growers willingly came out of hiding to sign up and pay the county to be legal, so the county knows who and where they are.

I want to know if they get their money back, and what about all the investment they made in the land and materials? Knowing the hick mentality of Calaveras, they will probably try and go arrest them now!! With what money???

Recall them all!  The cannabis ban is everyone's loss!!

Just because a temporary ordinance was put in place, didn't stop the illegal growers. I hope you folks who want all this growing, live next door and down wind of the grow. Skunks stink but the odor from the grows is nasty. Be sure to breath deeply.

Where have you been? And have you ever lived near a grape field when they are fertizing or during the smelly blending time> It's njust as bad or worse.

I agree. And you can live next door to a SKUNK without stripes much worse than any cannabis grow.

Attn: BoS!

As a member and participant of our group which includes over 400 registered farmers who have paid the County $5000. We have harvested and sold our crop and now sit with millions of dollars. We have retained several top Law firms from Sacramento who specialize in government. We feel after listening to comments from people such as D. Mills and his buddy Sheriff Rick D. we have been manipulated in a great bait and switch scheme. If you adopt a ban or do not re new the urgency ordinance we will immediately file huge law suits against the county as well as civil suits against the corrupt individuals who are responsible. We will file recalls for all of you including the appointed Sheriff and crooked DA. We have $ and time. This a FACT and a promise from the committed constituents of Calaveras County

400 people dictating life to 40,000 plus. Are you all socialista? Maybe the registered farmers could get netflix to do a series on them, like was done on cocaine in NARCO. Hey, how many criminal trials are in the court system due to the "crop" growing?

SUE the county! It will be interesting which judge will preside and the outcome!

To Narco: Only 400, guess again? many res. may not tell you, but more and more reg folks are using cannabis instead of the creepy opiates doctors pres.

From Narco, To Narco, you didn't bother to express how many criminal trials are in the calaveras court system due to the "crop growing"? Care to elaborate?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Non renewal will cost the county millions in lost tax dollars and hundreds of thousands in abatement for illegal growers. Renew the UO and draft a quality county ordinance and move forward. People as stupid as Bill McManus will prove to dissapear into thin air, the county will become solvent, law enforcement will have equal pay and all stress caused by lack of funding will go away

How many envelopes have you folks handed out so far?

WELL! How many envelopes have you handed out? The cat sitting on your fingers?
Gosh, when someone asks a pertinent question, you growers and illegal growers fade away.

The last meeting of the Bos, former supervisor Edson spoke. He expressed if you talk, show me the plan. Edson forgets he put Calaveras County in the position it is in.

He claims Tree mortality causes a drop in tourism, REALLY?

Cliff Edson are you a grower or a paid mouth piece that can't speak very well off the cuff?

Remember, Edson, you started this issue the county is having to deal with.

Sierra Sentinel where is the backside picture of the bull? That would glorify Edson just about right.
