New CHIPS woodburner depends on continued clear-cutting

  A new CHIPS woodburning furnace at CCWD in West Point, will sell the power it makes to PG&E to make money for it's stockholders.

   It will depend on continued clear-cutting of all of Calaveras County to maintain the burning for its future revenue.  It is being approved without question, regardless of the horrid smoke it will create.
