We aren't sure what the average wages in Calaveras County are for people like grocery clerks, and other regular jobs. We know some who make around $12 an hour.
DiBasilio says that his deputies who make $27 an hour, say they don't make enough. He says they are leaving for nearly $50 an hour to work elsewhere.
This is ridiculous! These deputies are not is the life danger position that law enforcement in the big cities are! And the ones we've known are NOT worth that kind of money!!
