In their desire to help pay for all the lawsuits ongoing and new to the county, the Calaveras Supervisors decided to hire a campaign firm out of Sacramento to get their TOT tax increase passed in November.
Although ONE Supervisor Garamendi questioned using taxpayer monies to campaign for a measure THEY want passed, the CAO Lutz said they need to do this. This is in spite of the fact that the Consultant mentioned has NO experience in passing TOT tax measures.
