31 CalFire employees terminated

After an incident came to light involving drinking alcohol and inappropriate behavior at the CalFire Training Camp in Ione
in September of 2017,  disciplinary action has been taken.

Altogether 31 employees were terminated, (14 recently) and 12 have been suspended. That is the most disciplinary action we have ever seen take place at CalFire.

This is according to a prèss release issued on April 26, 2018.

In February a Freson chief was fired after a cadet admitted there was cheating on tests, sexual activity and drinking.  This has been going on for FAR too long.

We now have hope that Ken Pimlott, CalFire Director is intending to clean up what we have been aware of for some time, and not just in the training facility.  We wish him good luck!!!

This investigation is now officially closed, per CalFire!
