Governor Brown signed a new law into effect that law enforcement is now forced to turn
over the employment records to the public if an officer is involved in a shooting or other offense.
For way too long, cops have been treated with protective gloves and Scott Jones is now saying that he does not believe he has to turn over records of anything done before January 1, 2019.
When law enforcement management protects the accused cops and hides the details it just makes the public more and more suspicious of their wrongdoing.
Jones, well known as the right wing wacko sheriff in California, is apparently hiding everything he can, including records of his own.
The ACLU is suing him for his failure to provide the records requested.
