Did you know that Black Bears actually hibernate in 5 different stages? The Wildlife Institute cared enought to actually spend time filming 3 years of black bear activity, including digging a den for themselves.
Rather than print it all here, we recommend if you are interested that you visit the North American Bear Center website. They have fascinating facts about Black Bear and their cycle of life.
We don't find any such organization in California, which is a shame. Fish and Game in this state seems to have only one purpose--to kill. We totally obect to that organization's existence.
If we humans cannot learn to live with the wildlife, we belong in the tenements that Mr. Wilensky wants to build for us.
