We all know. California is a Democratic state overall, despite the loud gun lunatics running amuck and the noisy few religious kooks who want to go back to biblical times.
However, the Republicans know that they can win some seats in Sacramento by dividing and conquering.
Since Republicans have divided and conquered themselves in California, will the Democrats now do the same?
In Fresno last week there was an election runoff between a little known Democrat and a well-known Republican. In a primarily Democratic area that should be no problem.
But in walks the "other" Democrats, realtors with money, who were angry that a piece of legislation they wanted was not being pushed enough by those Democrats in power at the Capitol.
All they had to do was put just under a million (yes, US dollars), on the Republican, just to show who is boss, and WHAM-O (oops, is that a brand name?) the Republican wins.
Divide and conquer...we see it work over and over again.. Watch out Democrats, the PUBS are coming for you. Better keep your friends close and your enemies closer, yeah?
