New Press Release from Angels Police Department,,,Apology!!

Now this is more like it!! Why didn't it read like this in the first place?

" Following this mornings press release (which we refuse to publish) regarding
a credit card skimmer installed inside a local Chevron gas pump, the Angels Camp Police Department has received a number of comments expressing concern that the release reflected poorly on the business involved.

According to the City, nothing could be further from the truth.  Because of the vigilance of Nash Chevron and its employees, the skimmer detected inside one of their pumps was detected and reported to Angels Camp Police Department.

The Angels Camp Police Department applauds Nash Chevron for pro-actively preventing additional incidents of credit card theft.

We at the local Police Department are entrusted with protecting our local community members and those that visit our community.

Part of that job includes keeping the public informed as to events that occur within our community.

The intent of this morning's press release was merely to inform community members and instruct them to closely monitor their bank accounts and credit reports for any fraudulent activity.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience or misunderstanding our earlier release (which will not be published here) may have caused to the owners of Nash Chevron, or its employees.

Angels Camp Police Department strives to support and protect all of our local businesses.

Working as partners with the business to community, (huh?) we aim to prevent crimes that victimize all members and visitors in our community."

Look out, Sentinel. The City does not like ANY criticism (BUT WE LOVE IT) This city administration and council are so bad and could care less about any of us.

Yesterday I heard that the City of Angels was totally pissed that they had to apologize.

They only allow good news, NO TRUTH to be made public.

But we, the residents, we know the truth.

Are you kidding. This City only wants ppublished what they say to publish. Don't tell anyone about the corruption or the mistakes. Don't dare tell about how they really treat businesses and residents alike!

Come on, does the City Council really think no one knows?

There is no question the City of Angels lacks leadership. But there is so much corruption, no one wants to run. Will you run for City Council in Angels Camp and help get rid of the Greenhorn Creek control?

Oh, no! Not me!. McHatten will squash like a bug anyone who doesn't buy into his schemes!

I saw the original one on another site who doesn't care what they print. I don't blame the businesses for being upset. It showed that they didn't really care what they wrote.

There's a rumor running around town that some people have already said they will help support someone who will run against the existing councilpeople. Is that true?

Thanks, Sierra Sentinel, for telling the truth.
