On July 1, 2013 at 11:41 AM, CHP reports that the driver of a 2011 CanAm,motorcycle was merging into traffic going eastbound on Tuolumne Rd from Aarondale Road.
The driver was not able to control his motorcycle as he accelerated into the lane The motorcycle traveled off the south roadway edge of Tuolumne Road and down dirt embankment.
The driver was then ejected from the motorcycle and sustained a fatal head injury The party was wearing a helmet but it appears it was not properly fastened.
The name of the victim is being withheld to notify next of kin.
