July 2, 2013: Mark Osterman, the author of the book about the case, said he took George's wife to the police station and waited until he came out.
He says George was looking stunned. He also said that when they first saw him while he was still in the police car backseat and that he laid down on the seat as if to hide.
He says he was not able to process and answer questions. He said George just wanted to go home.
He says George just had a blank stare. Osterman took them home, both in the back seat. He had a knot on his head and his wife was helping him.
He said that George explained everything on the way to his house.
