CCWD Secretive About "Enhancing Water" from Stanislaus forests

Let's send more of our
water to LA!!
UPDATE:  In response to our inquiry, CCWD Director Bob Dean stated that "I heard from several people that they didn't receive any notification.

I have to be honest, I don't know why there wasn't more information available.  It was pretty well attended so someone had to get the information.

I wasn't privy to the organizational aspects of the meeting and it wasn't until the night before that I was told that I'd be one of the people sitting at the dais.

They had a cancellation. If you need any more info contact me again or speak with Dennis (we assume he means Dooley). Thanks for your interest. Bob"

In what has been called "Enhancement of the Water Supply" for Los Angeles residents, CCWD has been conducting what they call public discussions, intended to convince
the public that getting rid of the water shed forest is a good thing for all.

Last Friday, in fact, such a meeting was held in San Andreas and it was quite a waste and spectacle for politics.

CCWD says it wasn't intended as such, but when our Representative McClintock arrived late, gave orders angrily and then left, it was clear what CCWD intended.

The Sierra Sentinel has been on their press release notices for years, yet we were not told about this meeting. Why so secret? And now that it has blown up in theirs and McClintocks faces, what?

We apologize for not notifying our readers, some of whom have asked, but we have passed that question on to CCWD board members and manager. They are the most secretive agency in the entire area.  Refuse to film, too!
