OP-ED Who is responsible for the Calaveras General Plan debacle?

There are mainly two people responsible for the unbelievable screw up of the Calaveras County General Plan Update.
Steve Wilensky and Holly Mines are the two fully responsible for the fiasco, in our opinion.

While Chris Wright tried to blame Brent Harrington for the problem of not being able to integrate any of the ridiculous 17 community plans into the General Plan, Wright said it was just Harrington and the Planning Department who are to blame, and that he believed the new Planning Director, Peter  Maurer, would be able to handle it.

Chris Wright wants to be sure the Wilensky Legacy (agenda) goes down in Calaveras history.

Boy did you hit that one right on the head. Those two had "damp" dreams of THEIR perfect world and cared nothing for the LAW or the rest of us.

You are right! The people who came to complain were talked down and then SHUT OUT!! They wouldn't listen to any of us. It is Holly Mines and Steve Wilensky who screwed up District 2 completely, not the Planning Department.

Every Supervisor was just playing politics, trying to keep or get votes. If they cared about us, they would do what Harrington told them to do.

Hey, Callaways is just as bad. She had a co-buddy doing her bidding too and they didn't listen to anyone in Ebbetts Pass.

Wilensky is going to have a legacy for sure, screwing his constituents, running an illegal GP for all the communities, killing jobs. Yeah, and he spent a lot of our tax money doing all these things, too.

Now we all know why Brenda Gillarde retired, don't we?

And how long did this go on, 10 years, omg!! No wonder the County is in debt up to its eyeballs.

I loved it that Wright tried to blame Harrington, who was only trying to level with them. What a joke these Supes are!

couldn't be there, but watched it last night. wright laid into Spellman for suggesting doing what Harrington told them to do. He wouldn't shut up.

Looks like this is just the first of another turbulent year for Calaveras. And the Admin wants rules and policies and "civility". Should be interesting.

I heard Edson, Ponte, Davidson and Halley were the last people in Planning Director Willis's office before her resignation. What's with that?
