According to the Calaveras Sheriff's office, on January 9, 2013 Jeremy Vernon David Costa (35) of Valley Springs was arrested on Hwy 12 for allegedly Transporting a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, the Use of a Compartment for Controlled Substance and Violation of Parole, all felonies and for Driving with a Suspended License, a misdemeanor and Possession of Marijuana under 28.5 grams, an infraction.
Costa was booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
Also arrested was Amber Daun Alice Hawthorne (32) of Valley Springs for allegedly Transporting a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Using a Compartment for Controlled Substance and Battery on a Custodial Officer, all felonies and for Possession of Marijuana under 28.5 grams, an infraction.
Hawthorne was also booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
