Breaking News: Fire near Blue Mountain Lookout--Arnold area

             UPDATE at 8:15 PM:  West Point Fire is accessing the fire from Blue Mountain Road.
     The fire has climbed up over the ridge at this time. No water tenders are en route  apparently, even though they were requested.

    They indicate this will be taking most of the night to battle this fire. It isn't clear why no water tenders are en route.

       UPDATE at 8:05 PM:  First engine is attempting to guide the rest of the engines into the staging area near Blue Mountain Lookout.

    Fire is about 2 acres in size at this point. They are plotting the coordinates of the fire.

    UPDATE at 7:50 PM:  The fire is reportedly down in a drainage area. Engines are still accessing the area of the fire itself.  They are staging an area on a ridgetop.

    They are taking FR 7N08 to get to the fire.  The first engine just reached the Blue Mountain Lookout.

    UPDATE:  AT 7:35 PM:  Fire is looking for more water tenders to come to this fire.  Engines are following a road with switchbacks and gates in order to access the fire area.

     UPDATE:    Arnold Cal Fire and Ebbetts Pass Fire are headed out to White Pines Lake area to reach this fire.

      September 19, 2014 at 7:15 PM:  A fire has been reported near the Blue Mountain Lookout in Ebbetts Pass. Several engines and a bulldozer have been dispatched to the scene.

   We are not yet aware of the size or conditions at the site of the fire.
