December 9, 2014 at 1:30 PM: A big rig and a Toyota collided on Hwy 140 near Central Ave in Merced, resulting in a fatality for the driver
of the Toyota.
Apparently the driver of the Toyota was partially ejected through the windshield after hitting the big rig head-on and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four CHP are still at the location. A big rig tow has been dispatched. The eastbound lane of 140 is still blocked.
