Henry J. Sweeney of Angels Camp

Henry J. Sweeney died at his home in Angels Camp on March 11, 2015. He was 82.

Born on September 24, 1932 in Brawley, Henry enjoyed helping others from his early years.

He found his true passion in pursuing the Lord's work and followed that passion in 1954 when he attended Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon to work towards becoming a pastor and
missionary for the Lord.

Henry was a home missionary for the American Sunday School Union, then a youth pastor in New Mexico.

Henry was able to use the wonderful gifts he had been given through his work in the church and on the mission field to pursue his love of helping others through the Lord's work.

Henry went on to pastor churches in Indian Hills, Colorado, San Luis Obispo, Victorville and RailRoad Flat.

Henry was always faithful to minister and stayed true to his faith in the Lord until the day of his death.

He was a sweet loving man who dedicated his life to God, his family and friends. He will be remembered by so many for being a great man of God, a loving husband and father, a great mentor and a great friend.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, his wife Margaret and his daughter Patricia Lynn Sweeney.

Henry is survived by his wife Dodie Sweeney, son Michael Henry Sweeney, son-in-law Michael Lee Sweeney and grandchildren Kelli and Tyler.
