According to CHP on January 31, 2015 around 10:45 PM Kyle Towler (23) of Valley Springs was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Barbour Road in Rancho Calaveras at an unknown speed.
As Mr. Towler was negotiating a curve to his right he lost control f his motorcycle near Silver Rapids Road and laid it down on its right side.
Both slid off the south side of the roadway, where he collided with a mailbox, decorative rocks, and ornamental plants before coming to a stop.
Mr. Towler suffered fatal injuries. It does not appear drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision, but the investigation is ongoing.
