A lot of suspicious people, vehicles and circumstances are reported to the Calaveras Sheriff each day. Some of the more interesting on April 4, 2016 were:
A white adult male around 50 with a big white beard, clothing unknown, pulled over in a white Cadi on the side of Hwy 49 by Sierra Trading Post in Mokelumne Hill. Guess it wasn't Santa!
A tractor making a knocking sound on Whiskey Slide Road in Mountain Ranch was reported as a suspicious circumstance. Not sure why!
A woman was reported suspicious on Sequoia Avenue in Valley Springs. She was rummaging through a dumpster.
No reports were taken on any of these incidents.
