At the Calaveras Supervisor meeting March 29, 2016 we tried to keep track of who spoke in favor of Calaveras County seceding from California.
Many stated that WE ALL have different values
than people in the Bay Area, which we found interesting.
The Tea Party movement to secede and these people may have different values about the color of skin, and other extremist values, but they have NO right to speak for the rest of us.
The usual Tea Party members, Peter Racz, Tonya Dausend, the Calaveras Republican Party, Al Segalla, who said he represents Calaveras Taxpayers was very disturbing, are the usual to be on this list.
Along with those were some we had not been aware were Tea Party secessionists:
The owners of the hardware store in Murphys, Angie Miliken for one. The owners of Chiarella Vineyards for another. Jack Lynch, who at one time was mayor of Angels Camp was a surprise.
