Charlene Adell DeRivi

Charlene Adell DeRivi was born in Phoenix, Arizona May 6, 1940 to Sterling and Lorene White.

   She passed away
April 8, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton at the age of 76.

Her family moved to Bakersfield where she spent most of her early life. While working as the manager of Fred Harvey's Restaurant she met her husband Richard DeRivi.  They were married for 46 years.

Charlene and her husband loved to fish, camp and travel. She formed a group of sibling women 'On the road again gang', and travelled all over the United States, using the back roads to see real life, and missing only two states.

She loved children and often took the camping, related or not, it did not matter.  As a result they all called her Aunt Charlene and still do to this day.

She also moved around the states as her husband was transferred and travelled with him overseas.

Charlene is survived by her loving husband Richard DeRivi, brother Joe White, daughter Rhonda Silfast (Dan), stepson Anthony DeRivi, grandchildren CharLee and Garrett Couto and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charlene was a role model for all those that loved her. We thank God for the gift of her love and knowing that she is now free of pain.

Services and burial will be private for immediate family only.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
