   One of the Board members of FOCAL (Friends of Calaveras Animal Services) was visiting a store in Arnold yesterday and we learned something wonderful during a conversation.

   Debby Beaufort made several calls and after she got off the phone, she told us the County was going to put a dog to sleep, but she finally found someone to take it and saved its life.

   This is the kind of person who is a real HERO in our community. She spends most of her time helping the animals.

   The FOCUS of FOCAS is where it should be!  Thank you FOCAS!
