According to CHP on October 20, 2018 around 6:05 PM Autumn Hernandez (36) of Ione was driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra northbound on Pardee Dam Road
near Campo Seco Road at an unknown speed.
As Hernandez entered a left hand curve in the roadway for an unknown reason she alled the Hyundai to travel of the roadway, and it collided with a wood/metal guardrail.
The Hyundai then continued over the guardrail and then down a dirt embankment, rolling over, with the roof submerged in Pardee Reservoir.
Citizens pulled Hernandez from the car and she was transported to Memorial Hospital in Modesto with major injuries.
It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a part in this collision.
