Warning to residents! Dangerous German Shepherd loose in Hathaway Pines

WARNING!!!  On Tuesday November 27, 2018 the Calaveras County Sheriff was notified of a dangerous German Shepherd dog
attack in Hathaway Pines around 4 PM.

The large German Shepherd was in the area of Blue Jay Drive with a smaller black lab. When a woman tried to run it off, the German Shepherd came came after her.

Knowing never to run from a dog attack the woman struck the dog with a stick in the head and ribs and one thrown as it ran down to Blue Jay Drive hit it in the back leg.

Never seen at this property before, the two dogs appeared to be in a pack-like mentality and the owner of the property plans to use a shot gun the next time it is seen to protect the family.

The Calaveras Sheriff was called on 911 and the dangerous dog reported with the location of Blue Jay Drive in Hathaway Pines.

Unfortunately, over the years, many strange criminal activities seem to have emanated from that little one lane back street.

It is not known if the German Shepherd may have been infected with rabies, but the owner of the property where the attack took place saw heavy saliva around the mouth and requested the dog be taken away to the pound.

The woman involved was not injured, but was shaken, terrified that it may be rabid!  Did the Sheriff's Office do its job?

Warning!  If you see it, do not go near it, but call 911 immediately!!
