According to the Calaveras Sheriff, on February 6, 2020 deptuies served a search warrant at an address in the 6000 block of Messinger Flat
Road in Paloma.
During the investigation, deputies located two stolen off-highway vehicles, two stolen equipment trailers and a large gasoline powered compressor which had also been reported as stolen.
In addition, per the Sheriff's Office, four firearms were seized, including a handgun which had been reported as stolen.
Over 79 pounds of processed marijuana, along with counterfeit money, ammunition, burglary tools, prescription pills (without a valid prescription) and evidence of controlled substance use and sales were seized from the scene.
Eric Gabriel Sosa (41) of Paloma was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail with a bail of $100,000.
Five felonies and three misdemeanors are alleged.
