According to CHP on May 5, 2022 around 3:10 PM Nickolette G. Cook (30) of Mountain Ranch was driving on Hwy 26 near Howard Drive in Mokelumne Hill when she lost control and ran off the roadway.
Her 2004 Mustang struck a tree and the front passenger section was crushed. She did not survive the collision. It is not known if drugs or alcohol were involved.
