The lightning caused fire at Hunt Road and Salt Springs Valley Road near Copperopolis this morning reached a total of 84 acres before it was 100% contained. No structures were threatened.
50 firefighters, 5 engines, a helicopter and a bulldozer stopped this fire from spreading. Personnel will remain on the scene for tonight and during the day tomorrow to insure area secured.
