Angels Camp City Council gives Forrests Group more money

A subsidiary of the Angels Camp Business Association, who had been given $3500 to help put on the City's Centennial celebration last summer, asked for and received more at the last City Council meeting.

Anne Forrest said that they had more expenses than they had though they would and needed another $6100 now, 9 months later.

The only Council member to wisely ask questions was Mayor Morris, who not only stated that the Council did not even receive a copy of exactly what their $10,000 in expenses were, but wondered why they are not fundraising to help offset these expenses.

The Angels Camp City Council is continually handing over OUR tax money to either ACBA, the Centenniel club or Forrests' Destination Angels Camp. Thus far, we see absolutely no benefit.
