For many years now, the out-and-out fear of many of the Sheriff Kuntz regime at the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office, has made everyone wonder why there is no oversight; all investigations are "Internal".
All is takes is a vote of the Board of Supervisors, as Los Angeles recently did. They voted to appoint a "citizen panel" to oversee and monitor the Sheriff's department there. Why don't we in Calaveras do that? Things would change and turn 180 degrees in the public's favor, you can bet!
