UPDATE: It is snowing at Forest Meadows, 3500' elevation.December 12, 2014 at 6 AM: Per CHP chains are required this morning from Tipton House in Arnold to Bear Valley, on any vehicle without 4 wheel drive and snow tires. DO NOT go above Murphys without chains.
Be careful driving in Ebbetts Pass, as roads will be icy. This snow is just what the Stanislaus National Forest in Calaveras and Tuolumne County's needs.
