According to Angels Camp Police, on January 31, 2015 around 9:15 PM they were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Main Street for a report of a vehicle that had hit a building and the driver leaving the area.
Officers located 71 year old Jimmy Weber, being detained by a group of citizens. Weber allegedly admitted to driving the vehicle and hitting a nearby ore cart and stair railing.
Officers determined that Weber was under the influence of alcohol and he was subsequently arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for DUI and Hit and Run with Property Damage.
