UPDATE: The name of the person who died in this tragic accident is Reanna Renee Silveira, (30) of San Andreas.
According to CHP on February 23, 2015 at around 3:25 AM A 2001 Honda Accord was driven by a 39-year old San Andreas resident northbound on Hwy 49, south of Gold Strike Road in San
Andreas at an unknown rate of speed.
For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of the Honda and left the paved portion of the roadway and collided with a dirt embankment.
The impact caused the Honda to overturn in the roadway. The driver, unfortunately sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
Identify of the deceased will be released through the Calaveras County Coroners Office, where the driver was taken.
