Major Injury collision alcohol related per CHP

According to a CHP report, on May 16, 2015 around 1 PM Joseph B Threadgill (35) of Modesto was driving a 1993 Chevy S-10 northbound on La Grange Road just south of Hwy 120 in Jamestown at a high rate of speed.

Threadgill was entering a sharp left-hand bend in the roadway when he failed to adequately slow the vehicle down enough to make the left-hand bend.

Due to the vehicles' high rate of speed, it exited the east side of the roadway and colluded with a roadway sign.

The Chevy continued through the sign, down an embankment and collided with the dirt/rock wall of a drainage ditch, where it ultimately came to rest.

The passenger Lloyd H. Ellis, Jr (46) of Modesto, was transported by Tuolumne County Ambulance to Sonora regional Medical Center with major injuries.

Threadgill was treated at the scene of the collision for his injuries and was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
