UPDATE at 5:20 PM: Now they are completing work in one of the lanes to make it ready to reopen..
UPDATE at 3:30 PM: Injuries in this collision were minor per CHP. Roadway expected to reopen in 30 minutes.
UPDATE at 12 Noon: Both northbound and southbound #1
lanes of Hwy 99 are now closed near Buhach as authorities continue to clean up the mess.
` May 20, 2015 at 11 AM: The collision between two semi-trucks still has traffic blocked on northbound Hwy 99 a Buhach in Atwater.
One truck had a trailer full of gravel overturned
all over two lanes and people have been trying to make u-turns in the center divide.
An ambulance and heavy rig tow trucks are responding and clean up is slowly taking place. Avoid the area if possible.
Union Pacific Railroad traffic is also blocked, waiting for clean-up and re-opening lanes of traffic.
