The Stanislaus National Forest used a lot of MAYBE's or COULD be or non-urgent comments regarding many reports of smoke in the Lake Alpine, Tamarack or Spicer Reservoir area of Ebbetts Pass late yesterday.
Was it another illegal burn pile, possibly a large one? Was is SPI burning slash? Is someone being protected or have they been cited? We will report when we hear. It was apparently put out quickly, but scared many residents.
