UPDATE at 9:15 AM: The roadway is now cleared. Vehicles were towed to evidence garage.
UPDATE at 8:15 AM: The roadway is still blocked. Tow trucks have been stuck in traffic that is backed up. There may have been more than two vehicles involved.
UPDATE: Sadly, CHP has just notified us that this is a fatal collision.
June 22, 2016 at 6:20 AM: A head-on collision between a white pickup and a gray pickup has been reported on Hwy 26 and Wimer Road just below Jenny Lind.
CHP is en route to the scene. We don't know about injuries yet. Avoid the area if possible as Hwy 26 is blocked.
