Motorcycle collision in Tuolumne

  UPDATE:  Per CHP William W. Archbold (53) of Morgan HIll, was riding his 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Tuolumne Road.

   Camen Bertha Plane (73) of Sonora was driving her 2008 Mercury Mariner SUV behind the Harley.

   When Archbold signaled to turn and slowed down, Plane didn't stop and rear-ended the Harley, the rear end of which became embedded in the front of her vehicle.

  Archbold and his passenger Holi Kay Olivera (37) of Hollister were both ejected onto the pavement, and suffered major injuries.

   Archbold was flown to Doctors Medical in Modesto and Olivera was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

PDATE:  Injuries in this collision were major. Patients flown to Doctors Hospital in Modesto.


 June 4, 2016 at 12:25 PM:  A motorcycle with two riders collided with a red Mercury Mariner on Tuolumne Road and Woodhams Crane Road in the Tuolumne area.

  Emergency personnel, including an ambulance are en route to the scene. Avoid the area if possible.
