Timothy Schlenz of Calaveras County

Timothy John Schlenz was born on June 6, 1962 and passed away at his home on June 7, 2016 after a battle with alcoholism.

Tim was living in San Andreas
at the time of his death, but spent the majority of his life in Mountain Ranch.

Tim was born and raised in Sunnyvale to Tony and Adele Schlenz. From a young
age, Calaveras County was a huge part of his life, where he would go up to his family's cabin in Columbia.

Tim graduated from Sunnyvale High School and Columbia Community College and then began to build his house and his life in Mountain Ranch.

Before settling in Mountain Ranch, Tim did an extensive amount of traveling, going from Mexico to Africa and many places in between.

Tim was a landscaper and contractor in Calaveras County and loved spending time outdoors.  He loved kayaking, biking and going to Half Moon Bay with his family.

Tim will be remembered for his compassion, love of life and adventure and devotion to what he cared about.

He lived his life to the fullest and while the last years of his life were filled with strife, he will be remembered as a loving father by his daughters Kayla and Sophia Schlenz, a caring husband by his wife Kim Schlenz and an enthusiastic little brother by his siblings Tony Schlenz, Tom Schlenz, Suzanne Socher and Cindy Schlenz.

He is following his father Tony Schlenz, his mother Adele Schlenz and older brother Terry Schlenz.

There will be a celebration of Tim's life this Saturday at the family's home.  Any who would like to come remember Tim, please contact Kim Schlenz at 209-754-1007.

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
