Copperopolis woman dies in crash

   According to the CHP report, on April 14, 2017 around 3:25 PM Margaret Howery (88) of Copperopolis was driving a 2007 Suzuki Forenza northbound on Obyrnes Ferry Road south of Copper Cove Drive at an unknown speed.

    For an unknown reason Ms. Howery allwed her vehicle to cross over the double yellow lines into the southbound lane directly into the path of a 2002 Dodge Ram driven by Bert Darling (61) of Twain Harte.

   Darling was unable to avoid the collision and the cars hit head-on. Ms. Howery received fatal injuries as a result and was pronounced deceased on scene.

   Mr. Darling sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center.

Mandatory regs! Old people cant drive take away their license NOW!

I think the CHP report shows Mrs. Howery going southbound and not northbound for what ever its worth.
