Informal survey on Cannabis in Calaveras

The SierraSentinel.com just sent an email to all Calaveras Supervisors after doing an informal and unscientific survey of people around the county on the issue of Cannabis growing.

   Here is the email:

We did an informal and unscientific survey around the county about Cannabis.  What we found was that the majority of people we spoke with did not care about whether people grow cannabis as long as they don't bother them or break the laws.

It seems that the only people who are so maniacally opposed are the Tea Party (Freedom caucus now) and those overwhelmingly supportive are the farmers (who we should support).

Please consider carefully and do not ban cannabis from Calaveras. My husband and I have never even used it, but feel it should be a right. And we all know what Prohibition brings with it. Only more crime.  It didn't work with booze and it won't work with pot.

Just make the regulations tight. And keep the Sheriff out of it. It is a land issue, not a criminal issue unless crime is found on the land.

I admit I don't know a lot about it, but my church says ban it, so I say ban it.

Grow it but not commercially in residential neighborhoods. I went through Hell last season, with my well shutting down daily in July, the overpowering stink, and someone with binoculars looking at his grow from my road.

Well, i'm not going to any board meeting. Waste of time. They never do anything FOR us, only TO us!

Maybe commercial could be all in greenhouses or indoors if near a house or something. I could live with that

Try thinking for yourself, not just doing what your pastor says.
