The Calaveras Sheriff's Office has identified the motorcycle rider who was found shot and later died at Mark Twain Medical Center.
Jack Edward Watts (43) of Manteca, was positively identified as the victim. During the investigation a 56 year old Stockton resident Michael Lee Parkerson, was arrested for allegedly having a Concealed Handgun, being a Member of a Criminal Street Gang an Possession of a controlled Substance while Armed, but was not believed to be a suspect in the murer of Mr. Watts.
The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office is urging the public to contact them at 754-6030 (anonymous tip line) with information regarding this case.
Anyone traveling on Hwy 26 between Mokelumne Hill and Hwy 12 on April 8, 2018 between the hours of 4 PM to 6 PM are asked to call and anyone who lives in that area who may have video surveillance capturing Hwy 26 are urged to call.
