Wanted felon hides at Angels PD???

   According to Angels Camp Police on March 28, 2018 at around 9 PM they assisted Calaveras Sheriff's deputies in a traffic infraction stop near Main Street and Monte Verde.

   The male passenger fled on foot and deputies and Angels PD gave chase, using the K-9. The chase led directly to the Angels Police Department yard and the suspect was found hiding under one of the fire department vehicles in the parking lot.

   Kenneth D. Carnes (39) of Copperopolis, was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail after getting a medical clearance from Mark Twain Hospital.

    Carnes was booked for an alleged felony warrant for Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, and for Obstruction or Resisting a Peace Officer and Possession of Unlawful Paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
