Motorcyclist dies on Hwy 12

   According to CHP on May 9, 2018 around 12 Noon a 74 year old female from Stockton was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle
on Hwy 12 not far from Hwy 49, following a Ford pickup, near San Andreas.

  Jacob Ham was driving a Ford pickup, towing a horse trailer on Hwy 12 and was stopped in the roadway getting ready to make a left turn into a driveway.

   The motorcyclist was late to recognize that the pickup had stopped in front of her, applied the brakes on the motorcycle and attempted to steer left but was unable to avoid a collision with the rear of the trailer the Ford pickup was pulling.

   The motorcyclist was ejected and suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her  name has not yet been released. She was wearing a full approved face helmet.

   No drugs or alcohol are suspected in this collision.
