Calaveras County Water District has been accused of discrimination against the Calaveras band of Mi-Wuk Indians after CCWD apparently refused to hire
them to oversee the Reach Pipeline dig on Hwy 4 in Ebbetts Pass.
Then allegedly the Calaveras Enterprise printed an article which CCWD says states false information which was not verified with the CCWD board of directors.
And so the battle continues, but why CCWD did not use the local Mi-Wuks isn't clear to us.

They seem to charge an enormous amount for their services - services that result in many long delays due to verifying anything and everything discovered during the project, making the project take much longer and cost more than planned.
That's how they pay their generous wages to employees. Just another high dollar, high pay agency.
