On February 1, 2020 Calaveras Sheriff deputies arrested Thomas James McNicholas (54) of Arnold at the Kwik Serve.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the alarm went off and a deputy arrived to find
the suspect still inside the business. To escape, he broke through a side window, the deputy gave chase and caught the suspect with many items from the store in his possession.
McNicholas was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged 2nd degree burglary, a felony, and Resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
