Departing General Manager, Joone Lopez, reported Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) Board's decision to name Lynn Gentry as the Interim General Manager (EGM) during their Wednesday Board meeting, according to a press release this morning.
Gentry began working for the District eight years ago as an Accountant and had worked her way up to Director of Support Services, in charge of the Customer Service, Finance, IT, and Human Resources departments.
"I am happy to have a role in continuing the wrok that Joone has begun and appreciate the Board's support," Gentry said when asked about her new role for the District.
Board President Don Stump and Vice President Dennis Dooley were appointed as the Ad-Hoc Committee for the negotiation of the IGM contract, which will be forthcoming in a future Board meeting.
Lopez is committed to working with the Board, staff, and Gentry to ensure a smooth transition. Gentry will assume the Iterim General Manager position on Monday, June 18, 2012.
