A fire was reported yesterday July 17, 2012 at 3:45 near the Jamestown Apartments on Preston Lane in Jamestown.
Units responded from Columbia Air Attack, Groveland, Twain Harte, Copperoplolis, Green Springs, Arnold, Altaville, Standard, West Point, San Andreas and Crews from Vallecito and Baseline Camps, in addition to US Forest Service personell.
The fire burned 24 acres of grass and vegetation, with damage reported at $4800. The Jamestown Apartments were not damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
