UPDATE: 12:15 PM The fire is under control, but traffic is backed up all the way to Murphys.
UPDATE: 11:25 AM Air tanker and helicopter support were also called in to help.
UPDATE: 11:10 AM Two engines were cancelled as not needed. San Andreas is staying at the Murphys Fire Station in case they are needed.
UPDATE: Explosions have occurred inside the building due to 5 gallon cans of gas being stored there. The fire is spreading to other businesses nearby. This is at the Arnold Plaza.
UPDATE: 10:55 AM We just learned this is the building behind Bristols Restaurant in Arnold. Altaville Melones and Angels Camp was just asked to repond to this fire. San Andreas is also responding to help with this fire.
A two-story commercial structure was reportedly on fire on Hwy 4. Ebbetts Pass and Murphys Fire are responding on September 3, 2012 at 10:45 AM.
We will post more details as they become available.
We just learned this is a vacant building where a contractor was doing some type of work.
