Poll on Retiring.....Not in Calaveras County

The elderly should not have to
worry all the time about how
they are going to live!
A Pew Research Poll indicates that "despite a slowly improving economy, about four-in-ten adults (38%) say they are not confident that they will have enough income and assets for their retirement, up from 25% at the end of the Great Recession in 2009."

The interesting portion of this statement is that "the end of the Great Recession was in 2009."  HUH?

What world do they live in?  In Calaveras County we have a separate Great DEPRESSION, caused by our Supervisors who are anti-growth, passed Resolution 07-242, and therefore anti-job, anti-homeowners, but are pro-welfare!!!

Will we elect Supervisors who will get rid of the waste of a General Plan and help this County get back to work?  We'll have to wait and see!! We know what we've had!!

Hey... I have a great idea!!! Let's raise the TOT to give money to the freeloading CBC who doesn't care that hotels, B&B's and vacation rentals will either close down or fire staff to make ends meet. Let's take a look at the Supervisor candidates who are against increasing taxes and get Calaveras County working again.

Exactly. Let's vote for the supervisors who want to attract private businesses and thus increase the General Tax fund while providing employment opportunites instead of placing an additional tax burden on existing businesses some of which are struggling.
