Buy Locally-Created Art Gifts at Gallery Calaveras in San Andreas this Holiday Season

   Share the creativity and spirit of local artists with your loved ones this year by selecting original gifts of art at the Calaveras Arts Council's Gallery on Main Street in San Andreas.

 
    Over 50 artists will have a variety of items displayed in the 20th annual Affordable Gifts of Art Show and Sale Holiday Boutique, beginning November 10 and ending January 5, 2013.
 
    Gallery Calaveras will have two Holiday Open Houses -- one is Saturday November 10, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and also on Saturday, December 08, noon – 3:00pm, which coincides with the San Andreas Christmas Show in the Town Hall.
 
   You don't have to drive great distances to shopping malls.  Shop local.  Unlike on-line shopping, you can touch and see the items you're buying.
 
     They are made in Calaveras by locals you may know. Artists have painstakingly put their hearts into each creation. What more could you want?  Free gift wrapping and free parking?
 
      They've got that too. Parking is easily accessible behind Gallery Calaveras where there's a parking lot off of California Street. 
 
       Arts Council members receive a 10% discount off their purchases.  The Calaveras Visitors Bureau VIP discount is also available.
 
    From small paintings to ceramic garden plaques to artsy cards, the variety of affordable art is endless. 
    Among the items are original watercolors, oil and acrylic paintings , photographs, ceramic vases and sculpture, jewelry, candles, fabric purses, painted scarves and fabric bolas, diachronic glass, ornaments, CD's, books, gallery gift certificates, tickets for Holiday Home Concert, Ovations Performing Arts Series 2013, and Chairs for Charity, boxed cards, personal and home products, and so much more.
 
    Some of the visual artists participating in the holiday boutique are: Judy Morgan, Ruth Morrow, Paul Neal, Ann Nancy Macomber, Bambi Papais, Sonya Ziegler, Libby Fife, Margaret Roberts, Pagent Fink, Miles Fink, Judie Cain Papais,, Andrea Broglio, Pat Miltimore, Janet Trinkle, Sharon Mejia, Cate Culver, Helen Scofield, Kim Barrington, Shay Baker, Martha Wallace, Claudia Schwalm, Barbara Gillespie, Susie Hoffman, Ty Childress, Pete Kelly, Lori Kelly, Amy Kelly, Lynn M Lynn,  Skip Saterlee, Kathy Martinez, Robert Atkinson, Helen Scofield, Wendy Lee Black, and many more.
 
    Ceramic artists represented are: Sarah Switek, Mary Anderson, Lori Kelly, Debra Lawlor, Ken Winebrenner, Cathi Newlin; Fabric artist are selling their creations are Deana Murchison, Stacey Joyner, Anita Paque, Sheri Boesch, Kate O'Keeffe, Robin Price;  Jewelry artists are Edie Schembri, Donna Lynn Keever, Terri Stickles Strunck, Jude Hyman, Lisa Savavia, and Melinda Green.
 
    Specialty items have been created by Randy Metzger, Andy Trinkle, Hannah Suncloud, Creekside Creations, Tom Buss, and Larry Anderson.

    Gallery Calaveras, at 22 Main Street in San Andreas, is open 9:00am to 4:00pm weekdays. On Saturdays the hours are 11:00am to 3:00pm.
